McKenzie Jefferson, FNP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner serving patients at both JCMC Pediatric Acute Clinic and JCMC Urgent Care. She brings experience in primary and urgent care, along with more than eight years of emergency department nursing experience. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Georgia and her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis College.
McKenzie is passionate about patient advocacy, education, and ensuring patients and families feel heard and involved in their care. She believes in taking the time to listen, answer questions, and develop individualized care plans while emphasizing the importance of preventive care for long-term health.
Originally from a small town in North Georgia, McKenzie is part of a military family and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, son, and dog. With another little boy on the way, family time—whether at the beach, in the backyard, or visiting loved ones in Georgia—is especially meaningful to her. A fun fact about McKenzie is that she comes from a family of five nurses!
