One of the advantages of having a primary care provider at JCMC is our Patient Portal. The patient portal allows you to be able to interact with your provider, see important information, and request appointments and medication refills all from your own computer, tablet, or mobile device. Here is an overview of all the features that you can have access to from the comfort of your own home.

  1. Mail. Mail is one of the most used features of the patient portal. Getting in touch with your PCP has never been easier! Through this feature of the portal, you can have secure communication directly with your provider and other members of the JCMC staff.
  2. Appointments. You can schedule new appointments for you or your loved ones, check on appointments you’ve already scheduled, and cancel appointments all through the portal.
  3. Personal Health Record (or PHR). You can view test results, your medical history, and even send important information from the portal to other providers with secure direct messaging.
  4. Statements. You can easily view current and past statements not only for yourself but also for your dependents. You can make payments and see your payment history as well.
  5. Medication. You can renew your medications.
  6. Patient Education. Through the patient portal, you also have access to an online health encyclopedia.

When entering the patient portal, you are directed to a home page where you can quickly see messages, new alerts, and appointment reminders. You will also be able to update personal information. Once you are signed into the patient portal, it will be connected to your email. This allows notifications to automatically be sent to your email when we respond to your request or email, upload documents or forms. You’ll also be sent an email when we send a message or approve your medication renewal.
