Nicole Kosakowski, PA

Meet Nicole Kosakowski, PA, a dedicated physician assistant specializing in pediatric and family practice. Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Nicole completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Sciences in Philadelphia and pursued her graduate education at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Her passion for healthcare began with admiration for her own family practice provider, who cared for her since birth and inspired her journey into medicine. Fond memories of watching medical dramas like MASH and ER with her parents further fueled her interest.

Nicole finds joy in watching children grow, helping families with weight management and exercise goals, and educating parents about the importance of vaccines. The heartfelt moments when children recognize her and run to give her a hug are the highlight of her career.

For her patients, Nicole emphasizes the significance of immunization schedules and nutritional guidance. She wishes more patients would take the time to educate themselves on proper nutrition and exercise, as these play a crucial role in preventing and managing diseases like Type 2 Diabetes, Hypertension, and Hyperlipidemia.

In her free time, she cherishes moments with her husband, Lloyd, and their dog, Moose. You can often find her at the gym, participating in CrossFit, running, or lifting weights. Volunteering for Veteran events is another way she gives back to the community.

Fun facts: Nicole holds an NC State back squat record and is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Her favorite vacation spot is Asheville, NC, and she can’t live without scrambled eggs. When it comes to music, Otis Reading is her favorite, and her go-to quote is “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game” by Babe Ruth.
