Meet our dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner, Melissa, specializing in pediatrics and primary care. A proud parent, Melissa is happily married and cherishes moments with her two adorable children – Drew, a delightful 6-year-old daughter, and Samuel, an energetic 2-year-old son.
Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Melissa pursued a career in nursing, driven by her love for children and her desire to make a positive impact. Her passion for helping others is deeply rooted, as she comes from a family with members working in healthcare.
At JCMC, Melissa finds immense fulfillment in working with children and being part of a knowledgeable team of providers. Her most common advice to patients revolves around dietary and nutrition education, emphasizing the importance of healthy eating habits.
Beyond her profession, she enjoys reading, boating, and spending quality time with her family. She is an avid fan of Clemson football and anything related to Clemson University.
A fun fact about her is that she loves doing puzzles and playing board games, showcasing her enjoyment of intellectual challenges. For her vacations, she seeks relaxation on tropical beaches, savoring the sun and sand.
When it comes to food, Melissa admits she can’t live without French fries, indulging in this guilty pleasure from time to time. Her taste in music spans across 80s and 90s hits, with a special fondness for bands like Dave Matthews, Counting Crows, and Band of Horses.
