Katie Alwes, FNP

Katie Alwes is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She enjoys providing comprehensive, quality care for both pediatric and adult patients in the Sneads Ferry office. Her clinical areas of interest include women’s health, geriatrics, management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, and acute illnesses. Katie graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Radford University in 2008 and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2017. Katie has clinical experience in a variety of healthcare settings including the emergency department, critical care, home health, hospice, and primary care settings. Katie lives in Jacksonville with her husband and two children and enjoys spending her spare time at the beach, camping, hiking, and traveling.
