Cristan Crider, NP
Meet our esteemed Family Nurse Practitioner, Cristan Crider, a dedicated professional with a passion for serving the community. Originally from Belleville, Illinois, Cristan is a proud parent, married, and has four wonderful children.
With an impressive educational background, Cristan earned an ADN from Southwest Illinois College, a BSN from Liberty University, and an MSN from Walden University. After decades of experience as a nurse, she felt a strong calling to empower patients and help them take control of their own health.
Currently specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Cristan finds immense joy in the camaraderie and support offered at JCMC, where she works. Her most common advice to patients revolves around the significance of self-care, emphasizing the importance of diet, exercise, and sleep for overall well-being.
One thing she wishes for her patients is a greater desire to take charge of their health and invest in preventative care. In her leisure time, Cristan indulges in kayaking, cruising, and cherishes moments spent with her children and grandchildren. A fun fact about her is that she and her husband are avid cruisers.
On a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean is her favorite vacation spot, and she can’t live without banana popsicles. Her musical taste gravitates towards classical rock, and her favorite quote is “Whatever makes you uncomfortable is your greatest opportunity for growth.”
Above all, Cristan wants her patients to know that she is fully invested in their healthcare journey and aims to build a relationship of trust, working together towards their best path to optimal health.
