To be tested, you must arrange a RemoteCare (telemedicine) visit by calling (910) 219-8326. You will then be interviewed by a JCMC provider regarding your health status. The provider will then schedule a same-day drive through self-test. You will be asked to drive to the JCMC campus at your booked time, where you will interact with a JCMC staff member from your vehicle. You will be given a nasal swab and instructed how to use it. The swab will then be collected by the staff member and sent to a laboratory. You will be notified of your results by JCMC as soon as they are available.
As with any medical test, there is a small chance of a false positive result (when you test positive but you do not have the disease) or a false negative result (when you test negative but you actually have the disease). A COVID-19 test result (either positive or negative) should always be considered along with your symptoms, your contacts, travel, and other factors.
We are continuing our commitment to keep our you safe. Please contact us or the county health department with any questions or concerns you might have regarding COVID-19.
