Sheila Lane Blanks, FNP-BC
Sheila Lane Blanks, FNP, is a dedicated healthcare professional with a passion for neurology and sleep medicine across all age groups. Born and raised in various locations around the world, she brings a unique global perspective to her practice. Graduating from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2011 with a Master of Science in Nursing, Sheila has since become a trusted Family Nurse Practitioner.
Married and embracing the roles of both stepmother and self-proclaimed “crazy auntie,” Sheila’s personal life is as diverse as her professional background. Her mantra for patient care is rooted in preventive measures, often advising, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
Outside the medical realm, Sheila finds joy in exploring the world through travel, indulging in live music, and cherishing moments with her family. A committed volunteer with Methodist Home for Children, she extends her care beyond the clinic to the community.
Despite her demanding profession, Sheila makes time for her eclectic taste in music, enjoying everything from opera to hip hop, country to grunge. However, her culinary allegiance remains unwaveringly tied to garlic, a preference she humorously apologizes for to both her parents and coworkers. Whether in the medical field or pursuing personal interests, Sheila Lane Blanks exemplifies a vibrant and multifaceted approach to life.
