Dear JCMC Patient:
Your safety and wellbeing have always been our top priorities at Jacksonville Children’s and Multispecialty Clinic, and as we learn more about COVID-19/Coronavirus, we are even more committed to meeting your needs and protecting your health.
We have developed plans that will allow us to continue the outstanding care you expect from us while also taking the necessary precautions needed to minimize risk and help stop the spread of the virus.
All physician offices in the state are considered essential businesses by Governor Roy Cooper and therefore are exempt from the Stay at Home executive order.
THE FOLLOWING NEW SERVICES ARE IN EFFECT:
JCMC RemoteCare is the use of devices—such as computers, laptops, tablets and/or mobile devices—that allow you to receive healthcare services remotely. Our providers will be able to see you, listen to your symptoms and determine the best treatment needed. You get to video chat with a provider from the privacy of your home.
JCMC RemoteCare will now be used for most sick visits until the virus improves.
If your provider determines that you need to be seen in one of our offices or if you have a well visit/physical scheduled, we will “fast track” you. JCMC FastTrack means that you will call the office when you arrive in the parking lot, and once you are checked in, you will go straight to an exam room. You will not sit in the waiting room, and therefore, you will not be exposed to other patients.
Our JCMC Well Child Clinic will remain in its dedicated building free from those who may be exhibiting signs of illness. We will be providing extra sanitizing of all areas of the clinic, and as an additional precaution, we will be screening all parents and other visitors to ensure that they are not infectious.
Thank You
Thank you for your understanding as we operate differently to provide the safest possible environment for you and your family. We have included more detail on our website homepage at JCMChealth.com.
